“From my time as a college student seeking my degree to years spent in the service industry, I know deeply the importance of emotional support and encouragement. Our minds are deeply affected by what is happening in our bodies, in addition to our bodies responding more than one would expect to what is happening in our minds. Nowhere is this mind-body connection more evident than a woman experiencing the birth of her child!

I became vitally interested in birth work during the summer of 2022, when the news media sharply directed my attention to women’s health and I felt jolted awake to the fact that I could be jumping into the thick of things as a positive force for my fellow women.

Through doula work, I seek to support mothers through the immense physical and mental challenge of bringing a new human into this world. This support can take the form of relaxation techniques, light massage, encouraging and compassionate words, sharing knowledge, and simply a calm, unconditionally positive energy.”
